DENNISTON MINE
Resuming Monday UNION ACCEPT TERMS. (Our Own Correspondent.) WESTPORT, December 6. Following on yesterday’s conference here between the Denniston Miners’ Union representatives and. Mr J. C. Brown, General Manager of the Westport Coal Company, the terms arrived at were to-day submitted to the miners at Denniston. The terms provided that there should bo no victimisation and that all of the men should bi l reinstated. The terms went to a ballot. The voting v ,-as as follows:— I ’or Acceptance . , 164 Against 56 Msj-jrity for 108 Air Brown has agreed io the resumption of work, and the mine, after a Pjoriod of idleness extending over about fifteen weeks, will re-eommenee coal production on Monday. WESTPORT, December 6. At the meeting of the Denniston 311 tiers' Union this evening, it was decided to resume work. Tlfe strike had lasted fifteen weeks It is expected work -will resume next 3fonday.
