SPEEDWAY CRASH

AT AUCKLAND Third in Few Days (Per Press Association). AUCKLAND, December 5. Tlie sudden collapse of the front tyre of a racing motor cycle resulted in three prominent cinder track riders becoming involved iu a spectacular smash at the Western Springs Speedway this evening. One of tlie three. C. Goldbert, aged 23 received concussion, and lie was taken to the Auckland Hospital, while of the other two, A. Mattson, the Do minion ehampion, was rendered unconscious, but he recovered: while T. Stevenson, one of the English team, escaped unhurt. Goldbert, who resides at l.den Terrace. is not seriously injured. He is the third rider from the local Speedway to be admitted to Hospital with head injuries since the track was opened on November 26.
