PURSUANT to Section 10 of the * “Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” the Grey Electric Power Board hereby gives notice that it proposes to RAISE A SPECIAL LOAN and to take a POLL of the ratepayers in the Grey Electric Power District for the purpose of obtaining their consent thereto and that the particulars relative to the said special loan are as follows: — The purposes for which the said special loan is to be raised are: — 1. —The purchase and construction of electrical —orks as defined in the Electric Power Boards Act, 1925, and its amendments for the supply of electricity within the Grey Electric Power District, in respect of which works the guarantees as described in Clause 12 (1) of the Electrical Sppply Regulations, 1927, have first been given is favour of the Power Board for payments amounting in each of not loss than ten consecutive years from the completion of such works to at least eighteen per cent, of the estimated capital cost of such works. 2. —The sum proposed to be borrowed is £25,000 for the purposes mentioned above. 3. —The proposed security for the said special loan is a special rate of one hundred and fifty-one fivehundredths uf a penny (151/500d) in the £ on the capital value of all rateable property in the Grey Electric Power Board District. 4. —The security of one hundred and fifty-one five-hundredths of a penny (151/500d) in the £ on the capital value io provide interest on the said special loan not to exceed £5 per centum per annum and sinking fund of £4 12/6 per centum per annum. The period for repayment of the said special loan shall not exceed the term of fifteen years. 5. —lt is proposed to pay out of the said special loan the cost of raising such loan, but no portion of interest or sinking fund on such, special loan shall bo paid out of loan moneys. AND FURTHER PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that a POLL of the ratepayers of the Grey Electric Power District will be taken on the above proposal to raise such Special Loan of £25.000 on WEDNESDAY, the 4th day of JANUARY, 1933, at the following' places: — Trinitv Hall, Albert Street, Grcymouth.
