“Red Worker” Appeals WELLINGTON September 23. Reserved judgment was delivered in the Supreme Court, to-day, by His Honour Justice Reed, on appeals by John Joseph Robinson, Alexander Galbraith, and Richard Francis Griffin, from the sentence of three years’ reformative detention imposed on each of them, bv Mr Page, S.AI. on charges under the War Regulations. The charge in respect of which Grif fin and Galbraith appealed was that they printed, and published an issue of the “Red Worker” containing allegedly seditious passeges. Robinson appealed from the conviction on a charge of printing ami publishing an allegedly seditious pamphlet.

The three appeals were dismissed, but the sentences were reduced as follows:—Griffin 18 months, Robinso n 15. and Galbraith 12 months, all re formative detention.
