BREAKING AND ENTERING CHARGES. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, September 23. Believing that the evidence in the breaking and entering charges brought against Edwin George Valentine Roberts, aged 23, and Raymond Patrick Letton, aed 26, required consideration by a jury. Air Page, S.M., decided to send the two mon to the Supreme Court for trial. Roberts and Letton were charged with breaking and entering the shop of Lauchlans, Ltd., Courtenay Place, and stealing jewellery to the value of £317 19s 6d. Letton was further charged with breaking and entering the warehouse of Svhneidemau and Sons, Ltd., and stealing clothing to a total value of £l2l 15s. Both accused pleaded not guilty. TOMATOES AND STONE FRUIT. WELLINGTON, September 23. Air Forbes promised a large deputation of tomato and stone fruit growers that he would consult with the Minister of Agriculture, regarding the possibilitv of introducing a bill to provide for the compulsory registration of tomato growers. He. also promised to look into the question of regulating importation of t( niatoes from Rarator.ga, and the importation of cucumbers and vegetables from Australia. He mentioned that Raratonga was part of the Dominion, similar to Stewart Island, and it w<js very difficult to put an embargo, on produce from one part of the Dominion but he would look into the question as much capital was invested in the industry in New Zealand. NEW PLYMOUTH MURDER. NEW PLYMOUTH, September 23. Hubert Cedric Jepson appeared on remand, before Mf Tate, S.M., to-day, charged with the murder of his wife, Lillian Violet Jepson, on September 15.

On application of the police he wa« again, remanded till September 28.
