Davidson and AL Scandrett It will bp observed that the team is the samp as that which ran Canterbury very closely in the now historical Ranfurly Shield match, and which won the Seddon Shield at Buller last Saturday. The players for AVednesday’s match will assemble at ’lnkster’s Studio at 1.30 sharp. The team leave for Christchurch on Thursday evening. Ono or two players arc finding it difficult to obtain the necessary leave, and arrangements are being made for these players to proceed to (’hristc.hurch on a train leaving on Friday evening. WELLINGTON v. WEST COAST. On Wednesday next, the AVest Coast Seddon Shield team will try conclusions with Lance Johnston’s AA'ellington tourists. The AVellington reps soundly defeated Alarlborough on AVednesdny last and to-day they play the lormidable Buller fifteen. This should be the finest representative match staged at Greymouth since the memorable English match in 1930, and in view of Saturday’s game the showing of the AVest Coast team will be watched with great interest. PRESENTATION. ’The AVest Coast representative team at AVestport last Saturday evening, on the occcsion of receiving the Seddon Shield from the Buller Rugby Union, made a presentation to Air A. A. Adams. 'The captain of the team. Air W. Deere, in asking Air Adams to accept a gold-mounted cigarette holder and case, said the team desired to assure the recipient that they all appreciated greatly his valuable help as manager of their Ranfurly Shield essay ami their visit to Westport in quest of the Seddon Shield. Air Adams sincerely thanked the team for their very acceptable gift, and said that while it came as a surprise, he was gratified to have been of any assistance. RANFURLY SHIELD.
