HOTEL FIRE. (Per Press Association). BLENHEIM, September 16. The Grovetown Hotel, of 14 rooms, owned and occupied by Ben Dooley, was totally destroyed by fire this morning, with the contents. The occupants escaped in night attire. The origin of the fire is unknown. Insurances on building are not known. The furniture was insured for £2OO (South British), personal effects £lOO, and bar stocks £lOO (Sun). THEFT OF MEN’S SUITS. AUCKLAND, September 16. Last night thieves broke into the clothing factory of Mackey, Logun, Caldwell, Ltd., at Newmarket, and stoic eleven men’s suits, worth £5O. An entrance was gained by smashing a pane of glass in a window at the rear of the building, and then opening the whole window. Only a few months ago the same factory,was on tered, when a number of suits wore stolen.
