NELSON LAND BOARD

At the meeting of the Nelson Land Board, held on Thursday, 12th May, there were present: Mr A. F. Waters, Commissioner of Crown Lands (Chairman), and Messrs A. R. Edwards, .1. O ’Regan, W. Blackadder, and F. W. Gibbs.

Applications for land were:— Section 51, Block 111., Kawatiri S.D., area 1 rood 20 perches, G. Head.— Resolved that the area be re-opened for selection by public auction under the Westland and Nelson Coalfields Administration Act, 1877. and amendments, at an upset annual rental of 10/-. Crown land between Native Reserve No. 122 and Part 3 of Native Reserve No. 124 and Public Road, Motueka Borough, Block IV., Motueka S.D. Applicant—11. B. McGlashan. —Resolved to grant an Occupation License at an annual rental of £l. L.E. Section 38, Block XL, Mokihinui S.D., area 4 acres. —Resolved to grant an Occupation License to Mr R. J. Bradley at an annual rental of 10/-. Lands to be opened.— R.L. 449 Sections 2 and 4, Block XV., Kaiteriteri S.D., area 2025 acres.—Resolved that area be reopened for selection on Renewable Lease at a capital value of £7lO loaded with improvements £1229. Land classified as third class. R.L. 270, Sections 10 and 14, Block 1, Motueka S.D., area 1984 acres.— Resolved that area be re-opened for selection on renewable lease at a capital value of £695 loaded with improvements £925. Land classified as rhird class.

Application to transfer.— O.L. 801, 20 acres in Block IL, Waitahu Survey District, W. Blaekadder to J. Bolitho. —Resolved to cancel license and issue a new one to Mr J. Bolitho as from 1/7/32 at the same rental. Applications to cut timber. —50 acres in Section 30, Block 111., Steeples S.D.. W. McGrath and S. Walsh.—Approved at the usual royalty rates. P.L. 355, Sections 21 and 24. Block IV., Ma wheraiti S.D. P. J. Murray.—Resolved to grant a permit to cut timber over approximately 70 acres at a royalty of 1/- per 100 superficial feet. Exchange of tenure.— MDLO 258, Section 11, Block 11., Kawatiri Survey District, area 5 acres. L. A. Quinton. —Approved exchange at the same annual rental. Lands for Disposal.— The Commissioner reported that the following applications had been received for lands opened for selection on Renewable Lease by notice in N.Z. Gazette. No. 21 of 21/3/32. — Section 41. Block XV.
