LEAGUE FOOTBALL

WEST COAST EXECUTIVE. The usual weekly meeting of the West Coast Rugby League Management Committee was held last evening, whe n there were present: Messrs A. H. McKuin' (Chairman), L. Hunter, A. Fielding, W. Barlow, W. Ryan, J. Anisy, F. Hogg and the Secretary (Mr R. Harrington). Messrs J. Stoke s (organiser) J. McTaggart, C. Hall. W. O’Neill and W. O'Brien also attended, while an apology for absence was received from Mr A. Anisy.

A deput alt ion was received from tho State Miners’ Union, re. teams playing tribute miners. It was resolved that tlie Union should write to th e Clubs affected, as It he matter is outside the jurisdiction of the Centre.

The Pirate Club applied for the right to run the tea and p'ie stall at Wingham Park this season. —The application was granlted. The same Club also applied for ’ the reclassification from senior to junior of J. 11. Leitch. The Secretary advised that this had been put through by the Emergency Committee. uta Club, explaining the position in regard to the referees appointed. The same Club applied for it he reinstatement to the code of three players. After some discussion, one was reinstated, and the other two applications were sent on to (rhe New Zealand Council with a favourable recommendation. The Secretary was instructed to write to the Runainga Club, pointing out that they have failed to comply with th? requests of the Rapahoe Club re. the transfers of Bourke, Brown and O’Neil.
