The track was heavy. .hi re was a moderate attendance. Th e tote investments were £16,1395. Results:— Innovation Handicap.—s ZANZIBAR (Mu.ray) 1; 8 Moko Bells (Shaw) 2; 2 Moko Girl (Dye) 3. Also started: 11 Grand Triumph 7 Mattie Herb’lwyn, 9 Miss Raeside, 10 Nebraska, 4 Win Huon. 3 Amy Etawah, 6 Gold Realm, 1 Summertime and Hardy Grattan bracketed. Won by a length; two and a-half lengths. Time 3.40 2-5. Moko Girl took early command, but on the second lap was gradually overhauled and broke in the straight, leaving Moko Bell.- leading. Won by two lengths; two and a-half lengths. Time 3.39 4-5. Pukemiro and Nrellota stopped at the start. Guid Hairst immediately went io the front, accompanied by Derby Fame. Later Betterwin and Nazda moved up. Gu d Hairst was never M.usly troubled, although Bette: w . challenged in the straight, but broke. BTe Wahia, 4 Kewpie’s Guy. Won by a length ami a-quarter; a length and a-half. Time 4.45. Anon broke at the start. Arabond went to the front, followed by Carnui and Real Gir| and Te Wahia. Native Cole and Pegaway broke at the start, but Na Give Cole recovered, to take the lead. Piince Etawah led coming into the straight, but Cleao finished brilliantly. April Handicap.—l MODERN LIGHT (Smith) 1; 3 Oliver Thorpe (Willetts) 2; 5 Rangihau (Garnett) 3. Also started: 4 Mild Derby, 6 R.ey de Quest, 2 Princess Thea Won by a length; a length and a-quarter. Time 3.40 3-5. Modern Light maintained a handy position throughout, and entering the straight went ahead easily to win com. fortablv.

Whitford Handicap.—7 EXPLOSION (Clifton) 1; 3 Windchat (August) 2; 1 Mr Penalty (Shaw) 3. Also started: 4 El Merit, 8 Hardy Grattan. 5 Bessie Parish, 9 Billy Carbine, 2 Carl Mack, 6 Gold Star, 10 Parrish Belle. Won by four lengths; a neck. Time 4.59 1-5. Hardy Grattan held the lead throughout the early stages with Mr Penalty trotting nicely. At the turn, Explosion went to the front and won easily. Wind Chat eam e up well to take second place.

Time 2.59. Master Huia jumped to the lead from the start with Real Girl and Little Guy handy. Turning into the straight, Kewpie’s Triumph and First Flight challenged strongly, the latter coming up well to win comfortably.
