TO WN HALL—T O-Nl GHT AND TUESDAY. “JACK STRAW.” To-night, a t the Town Hall, sees the first presentation of the eagerly-await-ed “Jack Straw” (Somerset Maugham’s sparkling three-act comedy) co be played by the Greymouth Playlovers.. The play deals with the adventures of Jack Straw, a waiter, who is persuaded to masquerade as an Archduke and the trouble he causes to every one concerned provides many laughable situations. The finishing touches to an excellent production were given at last week’s rehersals, and it is safe to predict that the Society’s efforts wi l be rewarded with bumper houses. Mr F. Easther, is the p'roducer and Mr L. McGlashan stage manager. The box plan i s at the Bristol, where there i? no extra charge for booking. OPERA HOUSE—TO-NIGHT. Two star features will be presented to-night and Tuesday. “Why Sailors Leave Home.” a British comedy featuring Leslie Fuller, the noted English comedian. Plenty of amusing situations—entertaining feature for the mas-es. The Leslie Fuller tradition of rubber-faced comedy is fully maintained in thi s extravaganza of nautical naughtiness—he is good for a series of laughs. The other attraction is “The Laly From th?
