FLOODS IN THE NORTH PEAKED. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, April 29. The weather report and forecast arc as follows:—General situation: A northern cyclone is north of th c Bay of Plenty, and is losing intensity. A second, but shallower, cyclone is located in the north-east Tasman Sea. Pressure is high over eastern Australia. Forecast: Winds, south to eakt prevailing, of gale force at times about Cook Strait, and strong in parts of the North Island; moderate elsewhere. Seas in New Zealand waters rough between Kaikoura and East Cape, with a heavy easterly swell; rather rough 'to rough elsewhere in and north of Cook Strait; moderate in other parts. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate to strong south-easterly winds; moderate 'to rather rough seas. Weather: Still dull, and in places misty oi foggy. Further rain is probable, but mainly from Nelson and Marlborough northwards, where there are likely to be many heavy falls, with flooding between Hawke's Bay and the Bay of Plenty. There will be little rain in Westland and Otago.
