BY WIZARD SMITH Further Attempts To-day and To-morrow (Per Press Association >. AUCKLAND, April 2/. ' Cable advice has been received from the Royal Automobile Club, London, stating that Norman Smith’s ten mile record of 164 miles an hour, established recently at the Ninety Mile Reach, has been confirmed as m world record. This is the first occasion on wtacu a ten-mile record attempt has been timed by electric apparatus. Officials of the Auckland Automobile Assn, interested in Smith’s at tempt on the. world land speed record will leave for the Ninety Mile Beach
to-morro w morning. Advice from the Beach this morning stated that Smith would attempt to smash the five mile record between 11 and 12 o ’clock on Friday, and would probably make his dash for the mile record of 253 miles an hour on Saturday
