Diplomatic circles in London attribute the Nazi success in the German State elections to a psychological blunder on the part of the German Government in suppressing the Nazi Storm Troops. This resulted in a wave of popular enthusiasm in favoui’ of Hitlerism as the Nazis are now being regarded as an association of super-patriots. Diplomats, however, consider that Herr Hitler’s best chance is to forego a single-handed Nazi dictatorship iu favour of a fair division of power with the Catholic Centre Party.
