N.Z. UNION'S ANNUAL REPORT. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, March 31. The annual report of the New Zealand Rugby Union says that working expenses for the year show an exieess of expenditure over receipts of £56 Is 7d. It points out that there are a number of items not likely to recur. A donation of £550 was given to the Hawke’s Bay Relief Fund, and a grant to Hawke’s Bay Rugby Union or £492 0/10 for rehabiliation of the grounds. The Australian tour resulted in a profit of £952 16/2, and the North v. South game £621 14/8. The Prince of Wales Cup resulted in a loss of £335 6/9 and the tour of the Maori team of the Seddon Shield distrie. cost the -Union £284 16/7. Loans were granted the following Unions during the year: Auckland £3.500, in addition to the existing ban of £1600.; Otago £2500, Wanganui £5OO, part of £l9OO sanctioned and in addition to the existing loan of £600; Canterbury £4OOO, in addition to the existing loan of £1000; West Coast £3100; Manawatu £l5OO, Southland £5OO, Bush Districts £250. Loans approved, but not finalised, to the following, Wairarapa £2500, King Coatijtrv £6OO, North Auckland £l5OO. I Golden Bay-Motueka £6OO. Other no [plications are lecciving the attention of the committee.
