A wedding of interest to residents of South Westland and the Hokitika district took place on Wednesday after noon at Holy Trinity Church, Greymouth. when Sarah Alice, daughter of Mr and Mrs L. Grassam, Christchurch, was united in the bonds of matrimony to Henry Ernest, eldest son of Mr and Mrs Joseph Manera, Kakapotahi, South Westland. The bride, who was daintily attired in a frock of ivory crepe de chine, with wreath and veil and carried a beautiful shower bouquet. was given away by her brother, Mr L. Grassam. The bridesmaids were Misses Olive Taylor and Ethel Rob-

erts, cousins of the bride, the former wearing a fully flared frock of royal blue satin, mob cap and shoes and stockings to tone, while the latter wo r e a fully flared frock of apricot satin, mob cap and shoes and stockings to match. Both bridesmaids carried beautiful shower bouquets. Mr W. Teague was best man and Mr T. Leach groomsman. After the ceremony a large number of guests were entertained at a reception at the Band Hall by the parents of the bride and bridegroom, Mrs Grassam wearing a frock of floral marocain and Mrs Manera a frock of navy blue satin with Oriental trimmings. Telegraphic messages wishing the happy pair all future prosperity were received from many parts of the West Coast, and especially from the South Westland district.
