INTRUDER FOUND BY POODLE. WELLINGTON, March 30. The barking of a small dog led to the discovery of a man hidden under the bed in a house in Hobson Street, and William Joseph Gee, aged 27, appeared before Mr Woodward. S.M., at the Magistrate’s Court. He pleaded gu’lty to a charge of breaking and entering by day the house of Winifred Moeller in Moturoa Street, and to a charge of stealing 2s from the house of D. K. Leed in Hobson Street. Leed said that when he and his wife returned home, he went straight up to his bedroom. He was followed almost immediately afterwards by his wife, who had with her a small dog. When the dog went under the bed and began to bark, w’tness looked an.l saw the accused hiding there. He pulled him out, and detained him until the arrival of the police. The accused was committed for sentence.
