Fault Found ADVISORY COUNCIL NEEDED. (Per Press Association). NEW PLYMOUTH, February 17. A protest at the delay in setting up the Radio Advisory Council has been forwarded to the Acting General Manager of the Broadcasting Board, by the North Taranaki Radio Society, in the following term:—“This jereeutive views with concern the delay in the setting up of the Advisory Council, as provided lin the Broadcasting Act. This Secretary is ot the opinion that such delay is prejudieal to the best interests of the listeners, and submits with deference, that the appointments, as required, by che law as embodied in the Broadcasting Aet, should be made forthwith so that the Council may function at the earliest possible date.’’ The Society is also sending a letter to the Board advocating the resumption of the international music programmes, which are considered Better than ‘ ‘ much that goes over the air irom the YA {Stations under tha guise of music and humour.” The Society considers that much of the criticism of recorded programmes came from a critical metropolitan fninority.
