NEED FOR MORE PRIMARY INDUSTRIES.
It has been stated by competent authority that new primary industries which will enable subsidiary secondary industries to be established are urgently 'needed by the Dominion. In this connection N.Z. Perpetual Forests Ltd. can confidently claim to be pioneers by the successful establishment of their softwood timber plantations covering over 200 square miles. New Zealand’s unique position of being able bo grow softwood timber three times as fast as any country in the Northern Hemisphere stands as another reason why New Zealand softwood timbers should yield a high rate of return to investors, and should hold an exceptionally strong position in the world’s markets.
