The appearance here of a play, ” Premiere. ” a broad-humoured play, satirising the Jesuit Order, and adapted from a novel writ on by the Spanish Ambassador in London, Senor Ayala, has resulted in a rio(t. The former students from the Jesuit colleges, also the military and aristocrats in the audience kept up their opposition till a bcla'ed hour. There was a long uproar, rendering the play inaudible. One hundred police were marched in and {they arrested seventy of the isiest of the spectators.
