BIG MAIL ROBBERIES
ON ATLANTIC LINERS. (Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.) NEW YORK, August 17. Another mysterious ocean mail robbery was revealed to-day with the arrival of the liner ‘ ‘ Leviathan, ’ ’ when it was discovered that a pouch of English registered mail from Nassau, in the Bahamas, had been opened and looted, and seven pieces of mail w*ere taken. The authorities linked this theft with a similar robbery a few weeks ago, when 25,000 dollars of currency from Nassau, for a local branch of the Royal Bank of Canada, disappeared from the Mauretania mail pouch.
