(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, April 30 Dr. Kidson’s weather report and forecast is as follows:— General situation: A shallow cyclone is now centred over Cook Strait and another is apparently centred in the Western Tasman. Forecast: Winds: Variable and mainly moderate westerlies prevailing in the far north, with southerlies prevailing in the Kouts Island and strong at times. Seas (N.Z. waters): Bather rough about Foveaux Strait, elsewhere moderate. Tasman Sea: Winds: Variable in the eastern Tasman with moderate westerlies prevailing in the northern portion, and easterly to southerly in the southern portion. Seas moderate and weather still unsettled, dull and misty, with rain in most districts, mostly fair in Westland. Temperatures cool in the South Island and moderate in North.
