Yesterday’s Prices (Special to “Argus."’) CHRISTCHURCH, October 22. I To-day’s sale of live stock at Addington is reviewed by Messrs H. Matson and Co., as follows: | There was a medium entry of pork and bacon. Prices were easier by os to 7s per bead, and competition was dragging. Porkers sold 48s 6d to 56s 6d. heavy 58s 6d to £3 7s 6d; average price BJd per lb. Bacon sold £3 9s 61 to £4 ss. heavy to £4 14s 6d; average price 6sd per lb. Store Sheep:—There were 2.350 yard- • ed. mn'mlv inferior and backward. There was a small attendance. Bid- ’ ding was slow. Beef: —There were 430 fat cattle J warded. The quality was good. Half the yarding came from the North Island or Southland. Prices were slig..t--;ly easier.
