HOSPITAL BOARD ELECTION.
Mrs Oliver, who is a candidate for the forthcoming Hospital Board, has had. considerable experience in hospital affairs, having held appointments at Wellington, Christchurch, Invercargill, ■Rotorua, Blenheim, Otaki, and at the Trentham military camp during the war. Mrs Oliver had the distinction of being the first Nurse in New Zealand to volunteer for service in connection with going into isolation with the cere bro-spinal meningitis outbreak at Trentham. She has- also held the position of Sub-Matron. St' Helens, Wellington; Matron, Wairoa Maternity Hospital (chosen fyy Government Health Department to open and equip the hospital); has taken a course for tuberculosis at Otaki, and that for skin disease at Rotorua.
