STRIKERS THREATENED
WITH GAOL AND FINES. Judge Lukin’s Mandamus. s ' SYDNEY, April 24. Judge Lukin, in the Commonwealth Arbitration Court, granted the application of the timber merchants for an injunction against alleged timber strikers. The Judge said the facts of the case were admitted, and there was no doubt that there was a strike against the Award. . Judge Lukin, in a mandamus to the timber strikers, orders them to r J t “ rn to work under the conditions of the full Court’s order, which provides for a 48 hours’ week. If they disobey, thev will be cited again, and liable to fines of £lOO, or three months in gaolThe men are given till Friday to comply.
