SPANISH BAN
On Overseas Fruit. FEAR OF A PLAGUE. (Received April 25 at 5 p.m.) MADRID, April 24. To prevent the introduction of the plague and other diseases, the Government has banned imports of fruit and vegetables from Japan, United States, Canada, New Zealand, and cargoes en route will be subjected to scientific examination, ' and if suspected they will be destroyed or returned.
