GISBORNE TRAGEDY
EX-PUPLIC WORKS OFFICIAL FOUND SHOT. * GISBORNE, April 21. A man named Fred Horne, aged 58 yeafs/wsa'found dead in a boardinghouse bedroom, this morning with a. pea rifle bullet wound in the head. The deceased was formerly employed on th. 1 Public Works staff In the vicinity of Poverty Bay but had been out of work for a few weeks. Deceased born in England. He had been in New Zealand about six years. His relatives are unknown.
