MINISTERIAL VISITS

Hon. Mr Ransom Coming ) Mr Jas. O’Brien, M.P. who for several months has been urging Ministers of the Crown to visit Westland, leceived on Saturday the following reply to his representation:— From Minister of Public Work?: “Thanks for your telegram on behalf of the people of Westland, inviting me to visit the district I shall be glad to visit you as soon as possible, and before the session. I am unable to give you any definite date just at present, but will yet you know shortly Kind regards. (Signed) G. A. Ransom.” From the Minister of Lands:— Many thanks for your telegram. I had intended visiting Westland, but I am afraid it would not now be possible for me to do so before the session. I shall, however, advise you * - later. (Signed) G. W. Forbes.” Mr O’Brien has again telegraphed the Minister of Lands and also other members of tho Cabinet, pointing out that the undeveloped condition/ of M estland should receive the early attention of every Minister, who wishes to see the Dominion advance in industry and population.
