THE WEATHER.
WELLINGTON, February 10. Dr Kidson’s report states: General situation: An anti-cyclone is covering New Zealand. A slight depression is located in the south-west Tasman Sea. Forecast: Winds moderate and variable, but northerlies prevailing in and south of Cook Strait and freshening in southern parts. Seas (N.Z. waters) : Smooth to moderate seas in N.Z. wa tors; Tasman Sea: Light to moderate winds in the eastern Tasman Sea, easterlies in the northern portion, and northerlies prevailing and freshening shortly in the southern portion, with generally smooth to moderate seas. Weather: Weather fair to fine generally, but later some scattered showers in Westland and parts of the southern districts. Warm temperatures.
