MONTHLY MEETING. At the monthly meeting of the Plunket Society, ther e were present: Mesdames Dennehy (in th e chair). Harvey, J. McLean, O. McLean, Robertson, Barrett, Carter, Carmine, O’Brien. Apolonios weref received from Mesdames Garde, Schaef, Moore, Wilde, Black and Miss Anderson. A letter was received from Miss Hooper, assistant to Director of Plunket Nursing, stating that Miss Ingold would relieve Miss Spring for annual holiday. One account of £24/9/7 was passed for payment. It was decided that the annual collections from subscriptions be made during the next month. A discussion took place, about the advisability of the Plunket Nurse, doing night duty, the members considering that it placed too great a task upon her and would therefore recommcnd that in all cases where it Js necessary for a nurse, to remain with a child, the parents be advised o secure th e services of one. The Nurse reported as follows: Visits to homes, new cases 5, old cases 128; three adults, 174 babies 113 older children, 67 out stations.
