"The Times's" Munich correspondent stares:—An important announcenient m connection with the radiological treatment of gynaecological cancer is - contained in. a report presented to the League of Nations Cancer Committee by Professors Dieder l-'in and Voltz, who arc members of the Committee and are the chiefs of the Munich Gynaecological Hospital. They state that they have treated four thousand cases of•cancer in fiftj?en years by a combination of radium rays and X rays. They declare that surgical opera tlong are now obsolete. From fourteen to twenty per cent of the cases are cured—that is th-y are remaining free from the disease for five years. These had previously been declared hopeless.
