LABOUR WORLD.
Forty-four Hour Week. FOR FOUNDRY WORKERS AT CHRISTCHURCH. CHRISTCHURCH, February 9. In the general engineers’ boilermakers’ and moulders’ dispute today. the employers agreed to accept the 44 hours week. Mr T. O. Bishop (Secretary of the Ironmoulders ’ Association) said that this decision had not been an easy one. He hoped the employees would realise the position, and that on other points in the dispute there would be an agreement that would give the industry some measure □f relief as to cos's.
