It is understood that tbo eonstitu tion qf the Board appointl d under tho Mental Defectives Act, 1928, is as follows: —Doctor Valentine (Direc-tor-General Health); Doctor T. J. Gray (Director-General of MentalHospitals), Mr T. B. Strong (Director of Education), Mr B. L. Dallard (ControlJJ-T-Geuerai of PrisOfDs); M.s Jean Begg (General Secretary of th Auckland Y.W.G.A.), Doctor Russel (Deputy Director General of Mental Hospitals), Mrs Peter Fraser (Wei lington). Dr Russl‘l is tho psychiatrist. Mrs Fraser has been OflPeia. Visitor for the Porirua Mental Hospital for a number of years. Mis Begg has had large experience abroad, especially among the gills at Farm. Tit?! Board will function almost immediately.
