(From Our Own Correspondent J Mr J. Maldi, who has been an inmate of the Ret fton Hospital for some weeks, suffering from a broken leg, returned home on Sunday last. Messrs J. Dwyer, W. Lines, W. Woolhouse and N. Pau! left on Friday last for Threti Mile, where Mr Dwyer has taken over a timber contract. Miss Marjorie Cameron ha; returned to Wellington, after spending holidays Ure. Messrs B. and T. Anisy, of Greymo,nth, have been spending a few days here. Mr and Mrs T. B. Hcjgg, who haw bien on a motor tour to Christchurch via Kaikoura, returned home on Saturday evening. Mr Scoble, Inspector of Mines, paid an official visit tq the mine on Thursday. Mr Geo. White, has niadM a start with the work of clearing a further portion of the Recreation Ground. The cricket competition for the Pratt Cup will be r! sumed on Sunday next when Reef ton play the local team here.
