Union Meeting. YESTERDAY’S RESOLUTIONS. A meeting of the Grey Valley Workers’ Union was held at Wallsend yesterday. la the absence of the President and the Vice-President, Mr JDevlin was elected chairman for the meeting. The minutes of the previous meeting wore confirmed, and the decisions of the meeting were as follows: — Resolved that a copy of the “N.Z. Worker” be purchased for each mem ber. Resolved that this Union affiliate with the Pan-Pacific Trade Union Sec* etariat. Resolved that Messrs T. Sheara and A. Hoggarth represent the Union on the Brunner Brass Band Committee. Resolved that the discussion con eerning the appointment of a Stop ping Erector at Dobson mine, cease. Resolved that no correspondence i shall be sent to Mr William Balder* stone concerning the motion of no confidence, as he refused to remain at he last meeting of this Union when requested to do so. The motion was carried, with one dissenting. Resolved that this Union has no con fidence in William Balderstone, Secre* tary of the West Coast Miners’ Coun •?il. The voting was:—For the motion, 87; against, one. Resolved that the Secretary notify all Miners’ Unions in New Zealand of to-day’s decision. Resolved that Mr S. Dillon look after the truckers’ Saturday shifts, but that Mr J. Tinning act pro tern. Resolved that a collection be taken at Wallsend Mine on Friday next, in aid of Air Dave Kennedy. Resolved that the Secretary report the proceedings of this meeting to the “Argus” for publication. Resolved that Mr G. Veal be asked to attend the next meeting. Resolved that it be left to the Secretary’s discretion (o cancel checkvreigh fund deductions. Resolved that the Secretary endeavour to obtain an itemised statement of income and expenditure relating to the Cascade and Blackball levies. Resolved that the Secretary, in convening this meeting, has our entire confidence and approval.—The motion was carried unanimously.
