INSURANCE CLAIM.
DATE OF PREMIUM PAYMENT DISPUTED. I TIM AKU November 3. In the Magistrate’s Court this morning, in a ease in which Mrs Snow-, den sued the Phoenix Assurance Coy for £174. claimed as loss through fire on July Ist. the defence was that an overdue premium was not paid until July 2nd, after the fire occurred, but before 'll” defendants’ agents were aware o f it, and that the plaintiff did not report the tire. The plaintiff said that she paid the premium on May Sth. and she produced a receipt dated March 15th. when the premium was actually due.
