Basel! on the Burney—Rolls Royce Dirigible, now being completed. th Lowden Airship Guarantee- Company is preparing designs embodying lessons -of the Zeppelin flight for an airship carrying 168 passengers. It will hava a spe d of one hundred mib's an hour, and will be able to negotiate Atlantic storms. It will fly from London to New York in forty-eight hours, an I New York to London in thirty-six. It will cost half a million sterling. FUTURE OF AIRSHIPS. LONDON, November 1. A Berlin correspondent states Hint airships have n'o chance of compelii ; with steamships in the Atlantic trade, according to the famous wartime pilot, William Schulze, who voyaged by the Zeppelin both out and home. GERMAN PLANS. BERLIN, November 2. The Zeppelin commander, Dr Eckpiier. says that the Graf Zeppelin will be used to train crews, and to conduct meteorological researches. It will make long flights, but will not cross the Atlantic again. This year he is planning to build two stronger airships.. one for Berlin, and , the other probably for the Rhine Valley t where it is proposed to establish a central air port for -a trans-Atlantic service.
