It is reported that there is a possibility that the Pacific Cable Company may be taken over by a syndicate foXned by the Eastern Telegranh Company and the Marcoui Wireless Com lianv Negotiations seeking an amalgamation of the latter followed a recent London conference If amalgamation is accomplished they are likely also to absorb the Pacific Company
