FATALITIES. GISBORNE, March 27. A Maori, Tom Rangi 50, was killed when a sledge he was driving capsized at Makarika, near Waipiro Bay. Rangi was caught in thc running gear, breaking his neck. TAOMARUNUI, March 27. At the inquest at Mangakara, near Ohura, concerning the death of Robert Peter Humphrey, nineteen, who was killed, by a tree he was chopping falling on him, the jury returned a verdict of accidental death.
