PLANE CRASHES
IN CROWDED FIELD. ONE KILLED AND SEVERAL INJURED. (Received March 26 at 7.30 p.m.) LONDON, March 26. Twelve thousand spectators were horrified to see an aeroplane crash at Stalybridg? (in Cheshire), killing a boy and seriously injuring five other children. The plane was commissioned to bring a film, entitled “What Price Glory.’” for exhibition at a Stalybridge cinema. 'l’here was a large crowd assembled in a field, surrounded by an eight-feet wall. The plane, after several attempts to’ find a, safe landing, descended, but it was unable to stop before reaching the wail, into which it crashed.
