WELLINGTON, March 2.2 Thp Dominion Meteorologist’s pveninc forecast is as follows: A moderate anti-cyclone is centred west of the Auckland Peninsula, and a slight low pressure wave is advancing over the South Tasman Sea. Variable winds will prevail, chiefly between sou’-west and north-west, north of New Plymouth and Napier; elsewhere moderate to fresh northerlies to westerlies. Spas generally moderate in New Zealand waters, but rising in the Cook Strait region and on the West Coast south of Cape Egrnont. Fresh north-west winds, later backing to south-west in the central and southern Tasman Sea, with rather rough seas. Weather fair at first in the east coast districts and in the far north, but later becoming cloudy and unsettled south of New Plymouth and Napier, with rain developing, more especially in the western and southern districts.
