Against Telegraph Pole OCCUPANTS - MIRACULOUS ESCAPE. ” AUCKLAND, March 21. Miraculous escapes from very serious injury were experienced to-night by John Ross, jeweller, pf Mount Eden, and Henry Tinker, horse dentist, of Epsom, when a motor car in which Oey were travelling along the Great Auth Road, i«? the direction of the By, skidded and crashed into a teleJjtph pole, at the junction of Fairfax and the Great South Road. were found lying on the roadsdj •. Tinker was conveyed to the Auckland Hospital in an ambulance, which was quickly on the scene. An •examination revealed that he had escaped with painful facial abrasions and slight cuts on the hands and body. Apart from shock and few’ scratches. Mr Ross, the driver of the car. was unscathed. The car itself was badly damaged. __
