SYDNEY WOOL SALES. SYDNEY, January 11. At the wool sale there was keen competition. The market was very firm, at the best point of recent sales. Greasy merino sold to 36Jd, and comeback to the record price of 301 d. LONDON WOOL SALES. LONDON, January 11. There will be available at the wool sales, opening on January 17th, 108,400 bales, of which 75,000 are Australian and 24.900 New Zealand. TALLOW MARKET. LONDON, January 11. Tallow: 815 casks offered, 731 sold. The average advance was sixpence Mutton, fine 40s 9d, medium 375; beef, fine 51s Cd, medium 375.
