MISSING N.Z. MARINER.
SCOTLAND YARD SEARCH. LONDON, January 11. The police search, for Captain Cant(of the Maui Pomare) continues unavailingly. Scotland Yard circulated descriptions, and passenger lists of steamers since November 29 havd been inspected. It is assumed that he is still in Britain. His disappearance followed the receipt of a message from New Zealand, to which, Cant did not reply. A further message, a month later, invited him to reply to the first cable, to which the recipients in Dublin replied that Cant’ had gone to Liverpool a month earlier.
