ANNUAL MEETING. WANGANUI, January 12. At the meeting of the N.Z. Retail Booksellers’ Association Conference, the election of officers resulted: President, Mr G. H. Bennett (Palmerston North); Vice-Presidents: Messrs J. Edmiston (Auckland), B. E. 11. Whitcombe (Christchurch), W. J. Osbourn (Wellington), H. L. Humphreys (Dunedin); 'Committee: Messrs C. W. Paynter (Wanganui), A. J. Coveney (Christchurch), H. E. Pitcher (Masterton), H. G. Carman (Eltham), H. H. Driver (Dunedin), C. J. Swallow (Palmerston North), C. A. Innes (Wellington), L. Whitcombe (Wellington), N. E. Aitken (Wellington), R. E. O’Connor (Wellington); Hon. Auditor, Mr W. J. Osbourn; representative on Advisory Board N.Z. Employers’ Federation, Mr Osbourn. The eighth annual conference is to he held in Christchurch on January 16, 17 and 18, 1929. Mr Bennett (Palmerston. North) and Mr South (Wellington) were appointed to represent the Association at the fifth annual conference of the Associated Booksellers of Australia and New Zealand, to be held in Adelaide in March.
