WELLINGTON, January 11. Dr Kidson’s evening forecast is as follows: Anti-cyclonic conditions still prevail over New Zealand, but there is a slight low pressure wave situated eastwards. Expect southwesterly winds (moderate) north of New Plymouth and Castlepoint, and more especially in the Cook Straits area; also some scattered showers at first in the East Coast district, south of East jCape and about Cook Strait, but improving conditions. The weather will be chiefly fair to fine elsewhere.
