N.S.W. DEFEATS SOUTH AUSTRALIA. SYDNEY, January 10. New South Wales won by 118 runs. The weather w r as fine and the wicket good, but with the exception of a stonewalling stand by McKay and Ilack, the batsmen failed to offer any serious resistance to the bowlers. Sauth Australia, second innings 239 (Lee 30, Hack 22, McKay 40). Bowling analysis: Nicholls 4 for 84, Mailey 3 for 113, Jordan 2 for 33.
