DARING JEWEL ROBBERY.
£2OOO Worth Stolen. FROM MELBOURNE STORE. MELBOURNE, January 10. A daring theft in full view of hundreds Jof people was ctommilAed at Palfrey’s jewellery store in the City, shortly before noon. Twto men smashed the plate glass window and stole two racks containing fifty four diamond rings, valued at £2OOO and decamped. Although chased by a number of men, who witnessed the robbery, the thieves escaped.
