SCENE IN ST. PAUL’S.

MAN INTERRUPTS SERVICE. MINISTER’S LAW DENOUNCED. LONDON, January 8. A man seated behind a pillar, rendering localisation difficult, interrupted the Rev L Wellard, when entering the pulpit at Saint Paul’s this morning. He said: “In the name of the Father and the Son, and of the people of England, I protest against ministers of the Church acting as Christian ministers because they are accessories to the most hellish wrongs in defiance of the laws of God and man, upon people and the poor by ministers, judges and law officers. ’ ’ Vergers asked the inter jector to leave, and followed his refusal by forcible ejection. He withheld his name and address, but promised to return. He said that his grievance was against the police arresting poor men on false charges, and accepting bribes in which he declared that ministers and magistrates acquiesced.
