PARLIAMENTARY ITEMS.
WELLINGTON, November 25.
There was not great a deal to occupy tho attention of members of Parliament today, Minor Government Bills being discussed throughout* afternoon and evening. The Education Reserves Amendment Bill was read a second tim and second reading of Native Washing up Bill caused a great deal of discussion. What is regarded as a healthy sign that the end of the session is near, is the presentation to the House of Representatives the final report of select committees, an indisation that no more work will be undertaken by these bodids during the remainder of Parliament. Several committees have already presented their final reports and it is expected that remainder will be down by Monday or Tuesday. It is too late for Bills to be referred to committees and then to be reported back to the House and any Bills introduced after this will either get a quick run through Parliament or go overboard in the final rush. The house will sit to-morrow.
